Abdul M. SulemanPresident & CEO
Abdul M. Suleman has over thirty years of experience in the hospitality industry with a leading global hotel corporation, and has earned a reputation for successful hotel turnarounds where he has taken underperforming hotel properties into profitability. Mr. Suleman’s professional accomplishments include openings of new hotels and takeovers of financially challenged properties. In 1994, Mr. Suleman founded Equinox Hotels which serves in the various roles of hotel acquisition, development, management, asset management, project consulting and manage full-service hotels in major markets throughout the United States and around the world. Equinox’s focus is on continuous profitable growth and generating maximum return on investment.

Prior to forming Equinox Hotels, Mr. Suleman served in senior management positions with Hyatt Hotels Corporation for over twenty-two years. He was directly responsible for many major Hyatt Hotels. He has served on the board of directors for multiple organizations and is an active participant in numerous community activities. Mr. Suleman graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University. He has been an invited speaker at many prestigious hotel schools throughout the United States.

Pete Dordick, JDProject Director
Pete Dordick is a 30-year veteran in business and real estate development. He has held the positions of Director at Legends and HVS, EVP at JLL, COO at Rockdome and Director at Zero G Colony.

He has worked with tent-pole brand’s The Dallas Cowboys, The NY Yankees, the Orlando Magic, and Virgin Group. He spent time working with technology leaders IBM and Panasonic as well as world-renowned hotel brands MGM, Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt. Mr. Dordick has worked in world-class ski resorts Aspen, Vail, and Crested Butte, beach resort destinations throughout the Caribbean and Central America, and for major financial companies like the Blackstone Group and Lindsay Goldberg. Lastly, he has also had the opportunity to work on entertainment projects RockDome and Zero G Colony – a three-day music and technology festival celebrating Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic and featuring Lady Gaga.

Mr. Dordick has worked throughout North America, Latin America, the Middle East and the Caribbean. He has also owned and operated commercial and residential construction companies and has developed hotel, resort, office and residential projects as a principal investor and partner.

Mr. Dordick is a graduate of the University of Colorado, and the University of Denver School of Law. He was a Congressional intern and also interned at the 20th Judicial District in Colorado.

Arnie FleischmanOperations
Arnie Fleischman has served as a manager and executive at various hotels and hospitality companies in California, Illinois, Nevada, and New York, among others. With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Mr. Fleischman was handpicked by the Pritzker family to oversee the development and eventually the management of Hyatt’s flagship property—the Hyatt Regency O’Hare near Chicago. His outstanding hospitality and sales & marketing background was noticed by Steve Wynn when he was hired to develop and operate the highly successful Golden Nugget property in Atlantic City. In addition, his marketing expertise is currently being utilized by Allied Integrated Marketing, one of the largest entertainment marketing companies in the United States.

Mr. Fleischman holds an associate degree in hotel management from New York City College of Technology. He is a member of Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Zach LappingDirector of Acquisitions & Asset Management
Zach Lapping brings over a decade of experience working with some of the most reputable real estate firms on the West Coast. At Equinox Hospitality he focuses on both acquisitions and asset management. Prior to joining Equinox, Mr. Lapping served in lead acquisitions roles at Western National Group, Pacific Urban Residential, and Prometheus Real Estate Group, where he managed the execution of over $400 million in value-add transactions and assisted in the oversight of a $2.3 billion development pipeline. Mr. Lapping graduated with honors from the University of Southern California, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Finance. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute Young Leaders Group, the Belden Real Estate Club, and is a Licensed California Real Estate Broker.
Ravi SikandDirector of Finance / Corporate Controller
Ravi Sikand’s extensive hospitality accounting and finance background encompasses 21 years with industry leaders such as Marriott International, Pacific Hotel Associates, Southwest Hospitality Group, The Kor Group, and Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants. The focus of his most recent experience has been with luxury segment hotels, restaurants, and resorts. In addition, he has worked on the condo-hotel accounting module with a special focus on homeowner association accounting needs and relationships.

Mr. Sikand also set-up and ran a successful company that focused on offering accounting and other back-office solutions to the hospitality industry. His company maintained the books for over 25 hotels and resorts. His model encompassed an integrated and customized approach to solving all of his clients’ back-office needs. At one end of the spectrum, his company’s approach was to provide clients with financial software platforms and assist them in training, implementation, and support for their organizations. At the other end of the spectrum, his company provided a business outsourcing model that managed all the clients’ back-office accounting needs. One of Mr. Sikand’s strengths is analyzing financial statements, keeping expenses in-line with revenues, and maximizing the potential earnings flow-through to the bottom-line. He is also proficient in applying GAAP/GAAS principles to auditing engagements and management reporting.

Mr. Sikand has consulted on computerizing numerous business accounting systems. He is a strategic financial planner for existing and start-up properties, specializing in turn-around and take-over situations. Mr. Sikand holds controller certifications from the University of California at Berkeley, and both a bachelor and master degree in economics from Delhi University and Varanasi University (India), respectively.

Stacey SnyderRegional Director of Operations
Stacey Snyder brings more than 30 years of hospitality leadership experience in Hotel Operations, Revenue Management, Accounting, Human Resources, and Sales & Marketing with industry leaders such as Marriott, Hilton, Starwood, Wyndham and IHG. She has demonstrated a record of consistently leading top-brand hotels to exceptional performance through a focus on quality and top-line revenue to drive profitability, market penetration, providing effective and strategic leadership, promoting team development, and associate and guest satisfaction. As Regional Director of Operations, Ms. Snyder provides leadership to hotel executive teams and manages brand and owner relations. She has also played pivotal roles during major renovations as well as repositioning of existing hotel assets.

Ms. Snyder currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Arlington Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, Arlington Tourism Public Improvement District, Hotel Association of Tarrant County, and Arlington Entertainment Area Management District. Ms. Snyder has also been a guest speaker at local colleges, as well as industry events to encourage and help mentor/develop other hospitality minded individuals.

Adam SulemanPrincipal & Executive Vice President
Adam Suleman’s broad hotel background brings to Equinox extensive hotel operational experience from his career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ W Brand. While with Starwood, he earned numerous accolades and widespread recognition for his management style in regards to hotel guest satisfaction scores and leadership. Mr. Suleman’s hotel resume covers both union and non-union luxury properties in New York City, New Orleans, and San Francisco. Moreover, he has been a repeat guest speaker at hospitality programs in the Bay Area such as San Francisco State University and the University of San Francisco.

Mr. Suleman’s education includes a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from Santa Clara University. Moreover, he studied International Business at Imperial College in London, England, and has completed the certificate program from Cornell University in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management. He is also a registered broker with the Department of Real Estate in California. Combining his hotel operations background with his real estate and financial knowledge, Mr. Suleman has the unique ability to identify high-potential assets, structure deals, and maximize value at the bottom-line while understanding the importance of maintaining a quality product. In the December 2014 issue of Hotel Business Magazine, Mr. Suleman was named as one of 2015’s eight rising stars in the hotel industry.

Sam SulemanPrincipal & Executive Vice President
Sam Suleman has extensive experience in a number of areas of hospitality including new hotel development; new brand development & strategy; repositioning & renovation of existing hotel properties; hotel operations; food & beverage operations and concept development; and hospitality technology. Mr. Suleman has worked extensively on projects throughout the US, UK, mainland Europe, and in the Middle East. He has also been a speaker at various hospitality, development, and design conferences in the United States and Europe.

Mr. Suleman has served on the IHG OA Board of Directors, as Chairman of the Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts Board, Chairman of the IHG Technology Board, and as Chairman/Founder of the Emerging Leaders Council, a group representing the next generation of hotel owners and operators. Mr. Suleman currently serves as Vice Chairman of the IHG Americas Regional Board and on the Editorial Board of Hospitality Design Magazine.
